Prof. Francesco Pappalardo delivers keynote at the 2nd International Annual Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Health (AI Health 2025)

On November 10th, 2025, our Group Leader Prof. Francesco Pappalardo delivered a keynote lecture at the 2nd International Annual Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Health (AI Health 2025).

In his talk, titled “The evolving landscape of in silico medicine and its growing recognition by regulatory bodies”, Prof. Pappalardo explored how in silico medicine is gaining increasing acknowledgment from international regulatory authorities, with a particular focus on the recent developments within the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and other global initiatives.

The keynote addressed what it truly means for a computational model to achieve regulatory maturity, emphasizing the essential roles of validation, transparency, and contextual credibility as key pillars for the acceptance of digital evidence in healthcare.

The ultimate goal of the talk was to outline how in silico medicine is evolving from a groundbreaking scientific innovation into a trusted regulatory tool, paving the way toward a new era of predictive and personalized healthcare.
